This site is mostly geared towards those who didn't get a solid foundation in cooking skills. The Standard American Diet (Aptly named SAD) leaves little room for home cooked meals, and our typical over-worked lifestyles leave little time to learn.
Taking the time to cook was a key aspect of taking my health seriously. Learning how to use locally grown vegetables, tasting the difference - I knew I wanted to share my findings with the world.
Not only is cooking a key part of eating healthier, I became a good enough cook that it severely dampened my enthusiasm for restaurants and pre-prepared foods - meaning I saved a boatload of money as well.
I love testing out new recipes, some better than others of course - and I was also tired of scrolling through endless recipe stories. I decided to put together my absolute favorite recipes and tips for free.
I love taking fresh vegetables from my mini-garden, trying out new local food, and tasting fine wines with my partner.
